Srinagar: The anti-Modi alliance led by Farooq Abdullah has won the local body elections within the occupied valley. According to Indian media, a coalition of seven parties led by former Chief Minister of Occupied Kashmir Farooq Abdullah has won the District Development Council elections in Occupied Kashmir. within the local body elections, the anti-Modi coalition won 112 out of 280 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party won 74 seats, the Congress 26 and therefore the Independents 49 seats. According to the committee , the local body elections in Occupied Kashmir were completed in eight phases from November 28 to December 19, while quite 51% of the 6 million registered voters in 20 districts of the Valley exercised their franchise.
